Who's At Fault When It Happens Again?

Cast of Characters

Me: Non-mRNA stabbed man who survived a plandemic and remains proud of the self-knowledge he fought hard to hold onto. Me is one participant in the following dialogue and from the outset me knows they're asking another participant that presumably is mRNA stabbed because most Australians pretty much are. It's a safe assumption to make.

NPC Vaxxie: An Australian who is presumably stabbed with experimental mRNA gene technology issued under Emergency Use Authorizations by classifying stabby juice as a Biological Warfare Countermeasure. NPC Vaxxie's role with their Short Points and Rebuttals are to speak with another participant while remaining utterly oblivious to the possibility that Me, or anyone else in Australia, is not mRNA-stabbed.

Act 1 - Learning if Lessons were Learned or Knowledge was Gained (of Function, haha).

Two participants in no corporeal setting existing with a regular amount of distance between them as they converser back and forth. No indication of which participant is Me and which participant is NPC Vaxxie.
That is, only until the first exchange happens. Those like Me in the audience will know which participant is playing the role of Me, and those unlike me are predicted to remain oblivious on roles, probably until Act 2.

Me: "So, did you learn any lessons worth taking when we were given the all clear once the COVID pandemic was declared over?"

NPC Vaxxie: "Um, not sure.. What do you mean, what sorta lessons should've I, or anyone learned?"

Me: "Well, you make a point there. It's not about a lesson or lessons you or anyone learned. It's moreso to see if you gained any self-knowledge after this was declared done and dusted.

NPC Vaxxie: thinking, perhaps for the first time in four years..
NPC Vaxxie: "I learned that I can get through events and catastrophes despite fearing I can't or don't know how to get through it as it happens."
"I have more self-knowledge of how.. hmm, how 'resilient' I can be, I guess"

Me: "For sure! Those of us here today got through it by usage of inner reserves of 'resilience' most of us never knew we had."

NPC Vaxxie: "Exactly! And I suppose that in a way, we've all become more resilient just by 'surviving', that we're all now able to better understand how to be resilient for the next time it's need most."

Act 2 - Surviving a Lie of Resilience as an Excuse for Doing Nothing

During this Act, the negative space that functions as an invisible barrier of comfortable proximity becomes a palpable character of its own. For this situation, negative spaces and keeping within normally accepted boundaries for privacy becomes more than either participant, yet it doesn't participate. It is a character which neither participant is cognizant of, and most of in real life can't fathom such a new character existing in our lives. Refer to Afterword section at end of script for further thoughts on this.

Me: "Next Time? You mean like the next time there's another global novel viral pandemic much like the one just gone?"

NPC Vaxxie: "Uh-huh. Next time (God forbid, Perish the Thought!) there's a global health emergency from a virus or infectious disease."

Me: Interrupts brusquely to stop NPC Vaxxie's own explanatory train of thought in its tracks. Body language between them like a Karate-Chop or like a guillotine, cleaving NPC's self-deception in two.
Straightens up and straight ahead stare to state:
"There wont be a next time."

NPC Vaxxie: Puzzled, voice higher pitched an octave.
"What? What do you mean there wont be another Global Health Emergency?"

Me: "I'm not going to allow it. I will not let another Global Health Emergency happen."

NPC Vaxxie: But. But surely you know that it's not a matter of if, but when the next disease outbreak occurs?!?!

Me: Simmers a little as...

NPC Vaxxie: NPC near-enough glares at Me: Non-Vaxxed, in response to Me: Non-Vaxxed" appearing to be entirely ignorant of if<when.
But surely he heard the W.H.O, U.N, Public Health Priests on the intra-planetary podiums pontificate in puny-son:
'It's not a matter of if, but when.'

Me: "Look - if by some indivisibly random and chaotically unpredictable chance, EVERYONE is gonna end up on the carousel of sub-cranial catatonia, to go on Carousel of Contagion at the FunPark Plandemic, then it means I failed."

NPC Vaxxie: not understanding.
"You?"
Points at me, counter body language directly at my chest.
"You are gonna blame yourself for when, not if it is happening again?"
Scoffing.

Act 3 - Myself is to Blame

Tense. The negative space is the battlezone with both participants unleashing a power gesture into it. Emotion is about to boil over. Suspenseful.

Me: "Look and listen closely please."
"I said I will stop it from happening again. Like you so dutifully quoted at me."
"'It's not a matter of if, but when.'"
"I know what's coming but if I don't stop it when it comes, which it surely is going to, then it's completely MY fault."
"Why? You ask..."
"Well.. Funny.. heh.. funny in a Black Death humour kinda way... it is funny you ask."
"If it happens again, then it is my fault once it does. Because when I had the chance to stop it, I didn't"
"I done nothing instead."
"I chose to do nothing when I coulda done it once, and done for good."

It's my fault because I done nothing.

Afterword: Loose Thoughts

In a conversation today, we are changed. Conversations today are changed too. Not by content, but by the presence of a new character. A character that doesn't converse to others yet seems to be not conversed about. Which makes sense, because for all intents and purposes - it's invisible.

What is it? What was it? Negative Space?
Social Distance?

Re-Fucking-Lationship Class-Shit-ification?!

Do we remain divided?

By a still invisible new character's presence between us, we do remain divided.

The intention is to evoke deeply personal levels of discomfort in the audience. Remember, we communicate to others predominantly via gesture and body language. Can the audience be triggered to remember... and face "social-distancing?" Can characterization of distance and negative space between two participants enact unconscious-hacking of their Twilight Language programming?

This is ambitious, and somewhat avant-garde or whatever fucking correct term exists for; edgy as fuck, disturbing as fuck, using dramaturgy and Twilight Language as a simulacrum for what was done to society as fuck... Can the theatrical arena staging this play be where dramaturgical twilight language commands the simulacrum from the audience's shared unconsciousness?
