I think it's quite hilarious that folks accepted that computerization would maintain, (or even enhance) privacy. (Imagine a sign, with an arrow, saying 'all our important stuff is right here, ok?) Also, that computerization would save resources, (ie paper). Sold a bill of goods, so few saw it correctly. (I for one believed for a time, I was young.) Modernization a misleading, dirty word.
when the obviousness of modernization's hollow promise threatened those who profited from it, post-modernization was trotted down the red carpet. When post-modernism lost its impetus and maniacal devotees who managed to uphold it for several decades too long, we will revert to what is Natural and what is needed
